Abstract. To improve the bearing capacity and provide mathematical model basis for vibration noise reduction of variable hyperbolic circular-arc-tooth-trace (VH-CATT) cylindrical gear, tooth surface modification design method based on parabolic forming blade cutter inclination was proposed. The geometric inclined completed. modified equation deduced, influence parameters curvature characteristics analysed further. contact analysis (TCA) established, elliptical area analysed.
